The addition of tin increases the corrosion resistance and strength of the alloy. The phosphor increases the wear resistance and stiffness of the alloy.Other uses include corrosion resistant bellows, diaphragms, spring washers, bushings, bearings, shafts, gears, thrust washers, and valve parts.
